Hello and welcome to MOONCHEEZ, the creative world of illustrator, Christina Luka (she/her), a Nova Scotia-based illustrator/designer who graduated with a BA in Studio Art from Hunter College.
My work is inspired by the cartoons from my childhood, Japanese mascots, and the everyday cuteness I encountered while living in South Korea and traveling around East and Southeast Asia. My work is primarily digital, using my iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Procreate/Clip Studio Paint.
I've collaborated with clients: Stickii Club, BandLab, and Mushroomy House and would love to collab with more!
Outside of illustration, I love crafting and DIY. I enjoy crocheting a good granny square blanket and dabbling in sewing projects for family and friends. I like to repurpose and recycle things when I can. I like eating healthy when I can. I believe in the importance of wonder and that life shouldn't be taken too seriously. :)
